Methodology

This study uses anonymized quote records from QuoteTurbo plan searches run between January 1 and May 31, 2026. We removed names, addresses, and contact fields. Each record includes household size, ages, ZIP code, projected MAGI, FPL percentage, gross benchmark premium, and calculated APTC.

Households were grouped into FPL brackets: 100 to 150 percent, 150 to 200 percent, 200 to 250 percent, 250 to 400 percent, and above 400 percent. We report median gross premium, median APTC, and median net premium per bracket.

This is not a nationally representative survey. Observations cluster in states where QuoteTurbo traffic is highest: Texas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Ohio account for 61 percent of the sample.
